Florida Deputies Find Deer in Bathroom Before It Takes Two Pool Dips

A deer turned up in an unexpected indoor location in Florida: beside a household toilet. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office shared video of the incident, which occurred Aug. 23, according to UPI Odd News. The footage shows a large buck standing inside the home’s bathroom while deputies looked on. To help the animal leave, deputies and residents moved some furniture and created a route toward the outside. Deputies then used a pool brush to guide the deer into the yard. Rather than immediately continuing toward freedom, the buck jumped into the backyard swimming pool. It climbed out, then entered the water a second time before eventually leaving the property through an opening in the fence. The sheriff’s office joked in its social media post that the buck escaped before deputies could issue it a trespassing warning. A deputy also remarked in the video that it was the first time in 23 years of the profession that he had encountered a deer inside a house. The video does not indicate how the deer entered the home or how long it had been inside before deputies arrived.
