A moose charged at a Montana woman’s dogs outside her home, prompting her to use bear spray to drive the animal away, according to UPI Odd News.
Shelly Thorburn shared doorbell camera footage of the encounter at her property in Big Sky. In the video, she can be seen using a can of bear spray as the moose advances near the dogs. The spray stopped the animal’s charge, and the moose then fled.
Thorburn told CNN that she was frightened because she had never before had such a large animal run after her. Her main concern was Annie, her 14-year-old dog, who is deaf and losing her vision.
After the moose retreated, Thorburn was able to get all of her dogs inside the house. According to the report, none of the dogs or Thorburn was injured.
