Feral Cat Rescued After Spending Five Days With Jar Stuck on His Head

A feral cat in California spent five days with a jar stuck over his head before a rescue organization was able to reach him, according to Neatorama. The incident came to the attention of Sierra Pacific Furbabies after someone reported seeing the cat in a neighborhood. The organization’s founder, David Loop, went to investigate and found the animal hiding beneath a house. Although the location was described as a basement in video footage, Neatorama reported that the cat was actually inside a narrow crawl space too small for a person to enter. That made the rescue more difficult, particularly because the cat had reportedly gone days without water. Loop eventually managed to trap the frightened animal. The cat was then taken to a veterinarian, where the jar was removed. The rescue group named him Jarhead. He will need time to become accustomed to people, but Neatorama reported that he is making progress.
